Words have their special linkages. Almost like a world of association lies in the words we use.
Words are special, because they express our experiences, and describe the handiwork of the Almighty. Words are also valuable, because they are old, and they contain the accumulated wisdom of the ages.
Look at the words I and Eye. The former represents the Self, the latter stands for Perception.
Homophones, we call them. Same-sounding words. But is that all?
That the two words are so similar draws attention to their mystic linkage.
Seeing is not only restricted to the eye. There is Insight too, where we see with the mind’s eye. The third eye that opens up the vistas of reality, remember?
The phrase, “I see” means to understand.
Thus, the self (I) has a tremendous connection to vision, perception, understanding.
The Self(I) is not complete without the Eye of Appreciating and Understanding the world.
The mystic message seems to be: Fulfil yourself with Wisdom. Or else, the potential of the Self(I) remains unrealized.
